I Think I Peed A Little

fanpop.com
The Husband was talking to a friend and extolling the virtues of Glee. (We like to start a series at the beginning and watch it in sequence. This is how he turned me into a Trekkie. Yes, he's evil.) I had never seen Glee and wasn't sure I wanted to, but I hear people say all the time that the Glee version of a song is better than the original. The other day, I was....uh....writing...procrastinating...and via the magic of Netflix, I watched the pilot, just to see. That show is fucking hilarious -- especially to a former high school English teacher. And the singing and dancing, although cheesy, are fun. The dialogue is really what keeps me coming back.

So The Husband was telling our (decidedly male) friend that Glee was a really good show, but our friend dismissed it immediately. Not his....style. Just a little too....girly.

The Husband's reply? Ever the eloquent one, he said, "Watching a TV show ain't gonna make you suck a dick, dude, I promise."

At least I wasn't eating or drinking anything at the time.

I'm ashamed to say I've never seen Glee and feel much like you say you did.  But damn...now it looks like I'm gonna have to make a change on that.

  4. Sheesh, and here I thought I was always too blunt. Thank goodness I didn't have anything in my mouth when I read his response!
